Evangelos Kofinakos, Comics
Garbage
May 2015

A page from my comic "Garbage". A philosophical discussion about life from the perspective of the garbage humans discard on the side of the road
It was created as my final project for a seminar in Comics I attended in '15 in Athens Greece
Created by hand with watercolours, pencils and brush pens, translated from Greek
Balloon Girl
May 2013

Sample of a series of comic strips inspired by stories written in social media like Twitter and Facebook and published in various digital media platforms, websites, blogs and web comics. Here I tried to tell the story without using any words. I find it fascinating illustrating other people's thoughts and ideas thus sharing with them some of their joy, emotions and excitement

Lenio
July 2012

A page from my first graphic novel which is about the saga of a group of rebels set in 18th century Greece during the rebellion. It explores the moral conflicts that arise in a group of people with a common cause but of different backgrounds and values. Here the dialogues are inspired by Plato's philosophical text "The Symposium" and specially from Socrates' mention to Diotima

Stories of the bible, Josef and Mary
December 2003

An episode of the first web comic I created after my graduation. I followed the route of Josef and Mary through the desert of Judea on their quest to give birth to Jesus Christ while I added anachronistic elements, black humour and more unsavoury and raw characters. I'm very interested in creative story writing, good solid story structure and well established characters
